Principal's Welcome
Dear Greeley Families,
Welcome to the Greeley community! As your principal, I am excited to partner with you in continuing the proud legacy of Greeley School. Established in 1912, Greeley stands as the oldest school in Winnetka, symbolizing not only a solid physical foundation but also a deep-rooted commitment to experiential learning that has shaped the Winnetka Public Schools for over a century. Our mission has always been to offer engaging, challenging, and memorable learning experiences that ignite each child’s natural curiosity and passion for learning.
Every new school year represents a significant milestone in your child’s educational journey. At Greeley, we celebrate these milestones with developmentally appropriate and impactful learning experiences, ranging from the enchanting kindergarten butterfly migration to the insightful 4th-grade immigration project.
Open communication and active parental involvement are cornerstones of our school community. We provide weekly updates from the principal’s office, in addition to regular communications from teachers. There are numerous ways for you to engage with the school, including Go-to-School Night, school “sings,” conferences, volunteer opportunities, and our dedicated Parent Teacher Organization.
As we continue to enhance Greeley with modern facilities and resources, our commitment remains steadfast: to blend 21st-century learning opportunities with a tradition of delivering a rich and relevant education.
I look forward to building strong relationships with you and working together to ensure a fantastic educational experience for your children.
Warm regards,
Lindsay Kopinski
